Camp Y, Woodlands, Manitoba
Providing Camp Programs and Fun All Year Round.
 In March of 2010, the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg acquired the former Salvation Army Camp Woodlands. Located just 34 km north of Winnipeg, the newly renamed Camp Y is a year-round facility, catering to rental and school groups during the spring, fall and winter seasons, with plans for a diverse summer program.
Many Great Programs and Activities
Camp Y sits on 40 acres of lovely forested land and contains 8 camper cabins and a camper building, with a total capacity for 120.
Camp Y facilities include:
- climbing wall
- high ropes course
- outdoor swimming pool with water slides
- mini golf course
- several large meeting areas
- a biking program with trails
- beautiful dining hall

We are currently looking at developing trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing, a geo-caching course and many other exciting programs.
Gearing up for an Action-packed Season
Summer 2011 at Camp Y is shaping up to be an exciting time! Our four YMCA-YWCA branch locations will travel to Camp Y for daytrips throughout the summer. One Week Residential Camp will be held for three weeks this summer for youth aged 6 to 14. Teens (aged 13 to 17) will have an opportunity to participate in our one week Fine Arts Residential Camp or our one week Leadership Conference. Family Camp will be held for an entire week in August. Camp Y will also host several summer user groups including the Youth Peacebuilding Project and Junior Coalition Camp.
